Mobility meeting in Pontedera (Italy)

Pontedera (Pisa), once again, welcome the participants of the Erasmus + programme «School is fun! Come on time!» to continue with the training sessions about the droppers and potencial droppers at schools. The host partners show us their schools and their humanitarian centre for immigrants in order to start with the talks.

In Italy, the absenteeism from school is mainly produced by immigrant children. The lack of knowledge about the language and culture works out well for dropouts and because of that they have the figure of mediators and they are really important in order to work with the students and their families. The inclusion is not easy or immediate. They need helpers who know the language so they can adapt the children to the school.

In Italy they also intercede for the education because is one of the fundamental pillars so the country can grow. The diversity should be a challenge for the teacher. With that quote we finish the first day of the mobility.

Come on time!».
